Introducing an easier way to recycle your hard-to-recycle items with BRAD. All you need to do is purchase a BRAD drop-off, pop into our Sydney Sustainability Hub and recycle with us!
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how the BRAD drop-off works.
What you need to know:
Drop off anytime between 9am to 5pm, Tuesday to Friday (on Thursdays until 6pm)
Location: 490 Pitt Street Haymarket NSW 2000
The maximum size of a return is up to 2 kg in weight or a shoe box
All BRAD vouchers are being phased out. All existing vouchers will remain valid until December 31 2026, so you have plenty of time to use them. From July 1 2026, we won't be issuing a voucher with every BRAD box or drop off.
When we first started Banish, the voucher system made sense, you'd recycle with BRAD, get a voucher, and use it to shop for sustainable swaps in our marketplace. But in 2024, I closed the marketplace to focus on education and recycling, and to double down on real behaviour change. Read more here.
How it works:
1. Simply purchase a BRAD drop-offfor $10, this covers the cost of recycling your items.
2. When you're ready head to the Sydney Sustainability Hub.
3. Recycle your items with us — we sort and process everything responsibly here in Australia.
p.s You can still purchase BRAD Pre-Paid Labels if you'd prefer to send your recycling in the post rather than dropping it off, find out more here.
Important: if your collection is larger than a shoe box in size or heavier than 2kg then you will need to purchase two drop offs.
