Volunteering FAQs
1. Can my work team join a community volunteering session?
We've created a full corporate volunteering program for offices and larger groups, we're happy for 2-3 people to come from one office but larger groups need to organise a dedicated session.
2. Can you bring kids to volunteering sessions?
We're eager to educate the next generation but right now you can't bring your kids along to volunteering sessions. Every school holidays we run programs for kids so please keep an eye out for them here.
3. What do I bring to a sorting session?
Please wear closed in shoes, bring a reusable water bottle and all of your BRAD items to recycle from home. Wear something comfortable as you'll be moving around a lot and on your feet for a lot of the session.
4. What do you do in a community volunteering session?
So glad you asked! We have two different types of sessions:
Standard sessions: involve opening up the incoming BRAD boxes and sorting them into the different waste streams. Here is an example.
Lids sessions: in these sessions you'll be helping to sort the bottle top lids by the type of plastic and colour. We will also focus on washing the lids and preparing the for shredding.
If you have any other questions please email brad@banish.com.au, we look forward to seeing you soon!
