Our story

At Banish, we believe everyday fashion can be part of the solution not the problem. Bottle top lids are typically too small to be processed through standard kerbside recycling, so we created the BRAD (Banish Recycling and Diversion) Program to give them new life.

Each lid is hand-sorted at Central Station, Sydney, then cleaned, shredded, pressed and cut into earring shapes using sustainable design techniques. Because we use the original coloured lids, every pair of earrings is completely unique, no two are the same.

These earrings aren’t just accessories — they’re conversation starters. Wear them knowing they help divert hard-to-recycle plastics from landfill, support local makers, and showcase what’s possible with thoughtful design and everyday waste.

Do you offer hypoallergenic fittings?

Yes, we use high-quality earring findings including making them from stainless steel and hypoallergenic materials. Check product individual descriptions for material details.

Can you recycle them again?
