The Star Garland comes as a kit. You lay out the stars, thread them onto the twine and space them however you like. Hang it across the mantel, along a window or around the tree.
How it's made
The stars are made from bottle top lids that come to us through BRAD, the Banish Recycling and Diversion Program. We sort and clean the lids by hand. Then they're shredded, then pressed into shape at our workshop at Central Station, Sydney. Each star has a pre-cut hole at the top, ready for threading.
Why it matters
The whole garland uses around 50 bottle top lids that would otherwise be heading for landfill. And you'll bring it out again next year.
Thread a few stars onto some twine and you've got a garland. So we put everything you need in one box. You get 10 stars made from recycled bottle top lids, 3 metres of natural jute twine and simple instructions. The rest is up to you. Space the stars wide for a long, light garland, or bunch them up for a fuller look. The lids come to us through BRAD, the Banish Recycling and Diversion Program, and the stars are made at our workshop in Sydney.

Does it come put together?
No, it comes as a kit so you can choose the spacing and colour order. It's simple to do: thread the twine through the hole in each star and tie a loop at each end.
How long is the finished garland?
Up to 3 metres, the length of the twine. Trim it shorter if you want a smaller garland, or space the stars closer together for a fuller look.
Are these the same stars as the Star Pack?
Yes. They're the same 7cm stars. The kit just comes with the twine and instructions, and a set colour mix.
