Add a pop of colour to your home and table with these beautiful candle holders. Featuring a two-tiered design they are perfectly shaped for most taper candle sticks and will have your guests talking. Made by hand by our team at Central Station from recycled plastic bottle top lids that would have been sent to landfill, collected through BRAD, the Banish Recycling and Diversion Program. No two candle holders are the same.

Tip: if your taper candles are slightly too small melt the bottom and press in firmly.

Size: Round 8.4 x 8.4 cm, Flower 9 x 9 cm. 2.4cm high.

Good to know

What are the candle holders made from?
Recycled plastic bottle top lids that would otherwise go to landfill, collected through BRAD, the Banish Recycling and Diversion Program. A round holder uses about 23 lids and a flower holder uses about 20.

What candles do they fit?
They are shaped for most taper candles, the diameter of the centre hole is 21.5mm. If your candle is slightly too small, melt the bottom and press it in firmly.

What colours can I choose?
Pearl, Birthday Cake or Seafoam, as a single or a set of 2, 3 or 4. Each set is one shape and one colour.

Who makes them?
Our team makes each one by hand at Central Station, so the flecks and swirls are different on every piece.

Sorted by hand by our volunteers
Step 2Our volunteers sort every lid by type and colour.
Shredded
Step 3The sorted lids are shredded down into flakes.
Pressed into sheets
Step 4The flakes are pressed into a sheet of recycled plastic.
Cut using a CNC machine
Step 5Each shape is cut out of the sheet using a CNC machine.
Final product
Step 6Finished by our team at our Sustainability Hub at Sydney's Central Station. Every piece is unique.
