Machine Giveaway: Terms and Conditions

1. The promoter
This promotion is run by Banish Group Pty Ltd, ABN 81 660 375 315, of 490 Pitt Street, Haymarket NSW 2000 ("Banish").
2. Nature of the promotion
This is a game of skill. Applications are judged on the merit of the written response. Chance plays no part in determining the winner.
3. Promotional period
Applications open on Wednesday 19 August 2026 and close at 11:59pm AEST on Tuesday 1 September 2026. Applications received after this time will not be considered.
4. Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian based schools and educational institutions, small businesses, registered not-for-profits and charities, and community organisations.
The applicant organisation must be located in Australia, and the prize can only be delivered to an Australian delivery address. Applications must be submitted by a person aged 18 or over who is authorised to act on behalf of the organisation.
Individuals applying in a personal capacity are not eligible. Employees of Banish, their immediate families, and Banish's suppliers and agents are not eligible.
5. How to enter
Complete the online application form in full, including a written response of 200 words or less explaining why the organisation needs the equipment or how it would be used. One application per organisation. Where multiple applications are received from the same organisation, only the first will be considered.
6. The prize
One prize is available, consisting of:
- 1 x MIR Press double station heat press, 40cm x 50cm platen, model HEST HTD2-45, rated 1800W / 8.2A / 220V / 50-60Hz
- 1 x FoxAlien Masuter 3 CNC router with upgraded 300W spindle and upgraded Nema 23 stepper motors, including spare rubber timing belts, spindle vacuum attachment, and the original spindle and stepper motors
- 2 x moulds (400mm x 400mm x 5mm, and 400mm x 400mm x 10mm)
- 10kg of shredded LDPE and HDPE
The prize is not transferable, not exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
7. Condition of the equipment
All equipment is used and is supplied on an as-is basis. The press platens and moulds carry heat staining, discolouration and surface marking consistent with regular use. Banish makes no representation or warranty as to the equipment's condition, safety, performance, fitness for any particular purpose, or continued operation. To the extent permitted by law, Banish excludes all liability arising from the use, misuse, malfunction or failure of the equipment. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Delivery
Banish will contribute up to $250 towards freight to a single Australian delivery address nominated by the winner. Where freight exceeds $250, Banish will advise the winner of the additional cost in writing. The winner may elect to pay the difference or decline the prize. The winner is responsible for site access, unloading and any handling equipment required.
9. Safety and compliance
The equipment operates from a standard Australian single phase power outlet and does not require three phase power or specialised electrical installation. The heat press is rated at 1800W (8.2A) and is suitable for dry indoor locations only. The winner is solely responsible for the safe installation, operation, maintenance and storage of the equipment, and for meeting any work health and safety, electrical testing and tagging, insurance, or other regulatory obligations applicable to their organisation.
10. Judging
Applications will be judged by a panel of Banish representatives against the criteria published on the giveaway page. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Banish reserves the right to request evidence of eligibility before awarding the prize.
11. Notification
The winner will be contacted using the email address and phone number provided in their application by Sunday 6 September 2026. If the winner cannot be contacted, or does not respond within seven days, or declines the prize, Banish reserves the right to award the prize to the next highest ranked application.
12. Publicity
Banish will seek the winner's consent before publishing their organisation's name, story or images. The winner is under no obligation to provide promotional content, reports, images or updates to Banish as a condition of receiving the prize.
13. Privacy
Personal information collected through the application form will be used to administer this promotion and, where the applicant has expressly opted in, to send marketing communications. Information will be handled in accordance with the Banish privacy policy. Applicants may request access to or deletion of their information by contacting info@banish.com.au.
14. General
Banish reserves the right to amend these terms, or to cancel or suspend the promotion, where necessary and to the extent permitted by law. Banish accepts no responsibility for applications that are lost, delayed, corrupted or not received for any reason.
