How to make your own DIY coffee scrub

When coffee grounds end up in landfill they create a methane gas which is a type of greenhouse gas and is 28 times more potent than carbon dioxide. Which is why when you're making your next brew think twice before throwing your grinds in your bin. One of my favourite ways to use them up is by making my own coffee scrub and it's so easy that I am kicking myself for not making this earlier.
What you'll need:
- 1 cup coffee grounds
- 4 tbs sugar
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 10-12 drops your favourite essential oils (I normally use peppermint or lavender)
What to do:
- Simply throw all of the ingredients in a bowl and stir to combine.
- Add more sugar or coffee if the mixture is too wet.
- Jump in the shower and use the scrub lovingly all over your body.
