Every insect hotel is handmade in Brisbane.

This model can be hung from either end.

Insect Hotel Details

• Built from 25mm Hardwood Waterproof Ply, sustainably sourced from Queensland.

• Includes Colorbond Roof

• Outside measurements 200mm H X 200mm W X 90mm D

• 6mm sisal rope to hang the hotel if you choose.

• Each hive weighs approximately 1.4 Kg

There are over 1,500 known species of native bees in Australia and most are solitary bees. Solitary bees play a vital role in pollinating the native flora. The bamboo tunnels are suitable for nesting bees.

Bees are not included with the hive. If you are looking to get started it is not recommended to purchase an empty hive as getting the bees inside is almost impossible without a source beforehand.

The bees to suit the hive are sub-tropical and only go as far south as NSW. This is not suitable for VIC, SA or TAS.

We offer free shipping on all orders over $100. For all orders under $100 (excluding shipping) a flat shipping rate of $9.95 applies. We dispatch all orders within 1-2 business days.

All of our orders are posted using carbon-neutral delivery partners in environmentally-friendly and sustainable packaging. We don’t use plastic postage bags or bubble wrap and rarely use sticky tape.
