By Lottie Dalziel

Did you know that the United Nations estimates that there will be more plastic than fish in the ocean by 2050? It’s a statistic that’s changed Viviana Rames’ life. Thinking forwards to 2050 Viviana's daughter will be around her age now and not being able to swim and live in a world with clean seas is not a future she'd envisaged for her.

Together with friend Alice Moir, Brush It On was born in January 2019, “we're committed to driving social behavioural change, rather than generating profit.” A a marketer (Viv) and designer (Alice) this duo are sending waves of positivity to keep our oceans clean.

Brush It On’s range includes dental, travel and bathroom products made from natural materials like bamboo. But they don’t just create beautiful sustainable alternatives as Viviana explains “we connect our products to their purpose of supporting environmental projects using patterns designed by visual artists.

Art has a really important role to play in shaping and defining our culture and the choices we are going to make in the future.”

When it comes to choosing a favourite Viv can’t go past “our compostable dental floss is my fave, I use it every day and enjoy the guilt-free feeling knowing it's zero-waste.”

With their creative powers and passion this pair are one to watch, stay tuned for more from the team at Brush It On
