Herbal Hiraeth is a herbal, botanical skincare company that launched in WA in 2018 after its founder, friends and even her dog experienced amazing results from her all natural herbal based remedies.
Candice O'Shannessy had always felt a deep connection with nature and held a fascination for our ancestor's age-old healing practices. Of course, their remedies were naturally based on what was available in the way of plants and herbs and a deep connection even intuition with nature. Everything from colds, flu's, disease and skin conditions were treated with this herbal, homeopathic approach.
So when Candice's dog Lilo developed severe skin allergies and mainstream treatments were expensive as well as ineffective, she turned to Mother Nature for some more wholesome help.
"After trialling everything under the sun, spending thousands on vet bills and not finding anything that worked without harmful side effects, I turned towards herbalism", explained Candice.
Within two weeks Lilos skin showed significant improvement with a completely clean bill of health in only a month.
Candice went on to study natural skincare formulation formally and came up with her own herbal skin care remedies and both she and her friends achieved amazing results and demand swelled.
"I had friends asking me to make them products for acne, skin pigmentation, flaky dry skin and oily skin. The products I developed had such wonderful reviews, I then decided to begin selling them to the public." And so Herbal Hiraeth was born.
Pronounced Hear-eth, it is a Welsh word describing the nostalgia and yearning for lost places or memories of the past. It is this ancient connection and balance with nature so deeply rooted in all of us that Candice is so excited to share. "As a Herbalist, I have formulated Herbal Hiraeth's products with powerful herbs and botanicals that cleanse, balance, help fight acne and leave skin feeling amazing".
