Take 3's message is simple every time you leave the sea, waterways or anywhere really take three pieces of rubbish with you.
The not-for-profit organisation was established in 2009 by surfer Amanda Marechal, and marine ecologist, Roberta Dixon-Valk. Not only do they encourage Australians to do their bit and Take 3 but they also deliver education programs to inspire our global community to help create a cleaner planet for wildlife and future generations.
"We believe lots of small individual actions can have a big impact on the planet. The more people who join our tribe and take action, the more we can do for the world’s oceans!"
Jump on board with the movement and share your efforts on social media by posting a pic of your rubbish with #Take3ForTheSea, tag your location so the team can track how much rubbish is being removed every year.
Next time you head to the beach or catch up with a friend do your bit and help our waterways.
Australia there's no time to waste.
