Kakadu Plum is the fruit from a native Australian tree and is wild harvested by Indigenous communities exclusively in the Kimberleys, Northern Territory and Arnhem Land. Indigenous Australians have used this fruit extensively for food, its healing properties and traditional medicine. Kakadu Plum is the richest known source of Vitamin C of any fruit in the world - up to 100 times that of an orange.
Quandong is like a wild bush peach. It is native to desert regions of central and southern Australia. Quandong is super high in antioxidants which are important for skincare because they fight free radicals. Quandong is also high in Rutin, a strong antioxidant which intensifies the antioxidant power of Vitamin C. Quandong is also a rich source of source of Vitamin E, folate, magnesium, calcium and phenolic acids. These give the skin anti-microbial, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The way phenolic acids work on the skin is similar to a gentle alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA).
Like all Samantha Sona products, their Day Serum is perfect for the eco-conscious consumer: it is certified vegan and palm oil-free, made from 100% natural & organic ingredients and comes in beautiful reusable packaging.
